一直以来，从学校开始推动本地文艺发展、孕育人才、推广健康活动都是必然的。戏剧也不例外。

为了激发中学生们的戏剧创意，并为社会塑造有素质的人才，此观摩比赛在‘雪隆戏剧观摩赛’及‘走进剧场’间歇后，从2006年开始再次举办。目前剧坛百花齐放，而戏剧工作者的努力也渐受国家以及社会人士注目及认同。栽培演艺人才间接影响了剧场发展，也影响了人文气息以及生活上的氛围。因此，此活动具有非办不可的意义。

全国中学生戏剧观摩比赛的目的是汇聚在籍学生及戏剧爱好者观摩彼此戏剧水平，并推广本地戏剧创作及表扬优秀作品，历年来都由雪隆戏剧互动空间、新纪元学院戏剧与影像系及凭舞台联合主办。

此外，我们也希望透过戏剧观摩，发掘本地戏剧人才，并提供戏剧爱好者在剧场演出的机会。

观摩赛开放给全马在籍中学生参与，奖励有：全国中学生戏剧观摩比赛金奖、银奖及铜奖，还设有个人鼓励奖项如：最佳编剧、最佳导演、最佳舞美、最佳男演员、最佳女演员、最有潜质演员（3位）、团体奖：最佳剧场精神奖。

希望通过各方面的参与及支持，让此全国性的戏剧观摩赛能继续发光发热；共同推广戏剧艺术，建立大马戏剧品牌。

INTRODUCTION

All along promoting and developing local literature and arts, breeding talents and popularizing healthy activities inevitably all starts from schools, and drama is no exception.

In order to arouse the student’s creativity in drama, and to create quality talented person for the society. This drama competition has been halt between the time of “Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Drama Competition” and “Enter into drama”, it was conducted again in year 2006. Currently, the theatrical circles has free development of different forms and styles in arts, and the great effort that the drama workers had made were gradually being observed and accepted by the community and country. Performer’s cultivation had indirectly influence the theatrical development and even more had affected the rich flavor of humanity and the atmosphere in life. Therefore, this activity is simply worth on attending to.

The meaning of having this Malaysia secondary schools drama competition is to gather current students and drama amateur to learn and simulate each other, simultaneously promoting local drama creativity and recognize outstanding work. Persatuan Angkatan Seni Lakon Interaksi, Kuala Lumpur dan Selangor, New Era College Drama and Image Faculty and Ping Stage have jointly organized it in the past years.

Furthermore, we are hoping to explore local drama talents through this drama competition, and providing performing opportunities for drama amateur.

The drama competition is open to all current secondary school students, the award would be Malaysia Secondary Schools Drama Competition Gold Award, Silver Award and Bronze Award. In addition, there are encouragement awards for individuals i.e. Best Director, Best Stage Art, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Potentials Performer (3 pax) and Group Award: Best Theatre Spirit Award.

We hope that through your support and participation, we are able to allow the Malaysia Drama Competition to continue to shine brightly and collaboratively promoting the art and skill in drama.
