关于《戏灵》* About PLAY SPIRITS 。。。
In this time of “post-war era”, it seems that the memories of “war” are still entrenched in our lives! Presented by Dramalab with the support of PJLA @ Jaya One, PLAY SPIRITS: created by four young theatre practitioners from different countries, will be expressing their point-of-views about the history vs present with the engagement of multi-disciplined theatre methods as well as bilingual presentations in their performances.
The late Singaporean theatre playwright and stage directing pioneer, Kuo PaoKun’s Sprit Play that explores adversities of WWII inspired PLAY SPIRITS. This play will be exploring the presence without “war”, and questions: How much do we learn from our history books? Is it true or it is just a fiction? Actors would play in various characters in all the four short plays to narrate their views of what they have experienced, and sharing their own stories regarding the social issues of the past and the present.
The four young artists are graduates from “Theatre Training & Research Programme” (TTRP). They established a creative lab called “Tradition and Edition Theatre Circus” (TECT) and PLAY SPRITS is one of the projects they have been working on.
